JOIN HANDS IN TRANSFORMING THE WORLD

JOIN HANDS IN TRANSFORMING THE WORLD

By Kola Popson

Eleanor Roosevelt wrote, “When you cease to make contribution, you begin to die.” The world is seriously ill and dying; she needs doctors to heal her illness and make her condition better. However, it is very worrisome to note that the majority of people in the world are disease minded, and through their negative attitudes, they have contributed greatly to the problem of the world. They have made life more difficult for all. It is for this reason that I implore you to join hands with good people to transform the world. The world cries out for your help.

The world seeks your help, my dear reader. In fact, you are one of the right doctors the world needs to be alright. Join in the quest to make her condition better. Without doubt, I believe that you have everything it takes to help make the world a better place. Did you ask how? Well, the development of every nation starts from the individual. This explains why I am addressing you as a single person who possesses all the potentials required to make the world better.

To start with, you need to critically examine your ways of life. Ask yourself; what are your attitudes towards life, your fellow human beings, your country, towards animals and other creatures of God on earth. Can you say that truly your attitudes towards all these are advantageous to the majority? If your answer is yes, then I have not made a mistake in referring to you as one of the doctors that can help us heal the world. If your answer is no, it makes no big difference, you only need to immediately change your attitude towards people and things around you.

Help us heal the world. Scatter seeds of kindness everywhere you go in life and watch them grow every single day. Take a look around you, and you will surely find people that are seriously in need of your help. Help them in any way you deem fit. Remember, every good deed will be rewarded no matter how long it takes. “Whatever you sow, you must reap.”

There are some people around the world who feel neglected and abandoned. To them, life is nothing but an unpleasant place, where nothing good comes out. Perhaps what they need is for someone like you to give them a sense of belonging. This might go a long way in helping them to discover their hidden potentials and use them in such a way that everybody in the world would benefit from it. So, what are you still waiting for? Help us transform the world by reaching out to these people.

Some are critically lying ill on sick beds, very sad and unconscious. What they need is probably financial assistance from a generous person like you for them to regain consciousness. Did you say that you are not that financially buoyant? Yes, you are; you can help heal the world. No amount of money is too small or huge to make a change in peoples’ lives. After all, it is not what you give out that really matters, but the heart you give it with. Visit any hospital nearer to you and contribute your own quota either in cash to save peoples’ lives.

Absence of love among mankind also contributes greatly to the illness of the world. Wherever love prevails, happiness, joy and peace thrive. Irrespective of their various tribes and countries, love helps to bind people together in tenderness, peace and happiness. Therefore, for the world to be a better place for all, everybody must love one another. You need to love your fellow human beings in order for you to be loved too. As you join in transforming the world, do everything under your capacity to ensure that love goes round the world.

Some are negative thinkers and doers. They see and do things negatively always without putting into consideration the consequences of their actions. They need a talented and great person like you to influence and change their negative ways of doing things to positive ones. You only need to make use of that talent or gift that God has given to you.

If there is something I like doing, it is most likely writing. I like reaching out to people through writing. As you read this, take time to listen very carefully to your mind. How best do you think you can influence people positively? Is it by writing or singing? Is it by acting, praying, preaching or by other means? Think carefully about this, use your talents wisely and let your impact be felt positively throughout the world. But remember, it first starts from you. Let you and I collectively make the world a better place for all.
