The recently appointed Chief of Staff to Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Dahiru Zubairu has passed on.
This was contained in a statement issued and made available to the press by the Secretary to Zamfara State Government, Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi, in Gusau on Thursday.
This statement, indicated that the late Alhaji Zubairu died at age 49 after a brief illness at his Kaduna residence on Wednesday night, added that he is survived by a wife and four children.
Alhaji Zubairu was a member of House of Representatives for eight years, representing Birnin-Magaji/Kaura-Namoda constituency from 2003 to 2011.
It would be recalled that the late Zubairu was also National Vice-Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) during his period as the Chairman of Birnin-Magaji Local Government Area between 1999 and 2002.
