The transformation is most evident in the unprecedented improvement in electricity across various communities in Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji has revitalized power supply to towns and communities in Ekiti East, Ijan, Iluomooba, Aisegba, Ikogosi, Erijiyan , parts of Ado Ekiti , Imesi and many more. Recently, the commissioning of the Independent Power Plant marked a significant milestone, ensuring a steady power supply to key government institutions in the State including EKSU.
Currently,installation of 50KVA solar inverters has commenced in Oba Adejugbe Hospital , Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital & State Specialist Hospital Ikole Ekiti . The impact of this 24hrs light to continuous service delivery in those health facilities will be immeasurable.
It’s part of a World Bank and Rural Electrification Agency (REA)- assisted projects initiated during COVID-19, stalled temporarily but reinvigorated and reactivated by Governor Oyebanji’s proactive intervention in December 2022.
The solar inverter in each of the hospitals comes with an 80KVA generator in case there’s inadequate sunlight. This is poised to address power deficiencies in these health facilities in the State .
When fully completed, we will be ushered into a new era of power reinvigoration, promising enhanced healthcare services for the benefit of all.
